Okay, yes. I've been lazy. :) Haven't taken the pictures I know I should have... I'm working under the assumption that we'll have a ton of pictures from our weekend away and I can just post a few of those instead. We leave tomorrow morning and will be back late Sunday night.
Tonight's Guy Fawkes Night or Bonfire Night, or.. excuse to set off fireworks and light things on fire night, however you want to look at it. Never been quite sure why it's celebrated. Is it because Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament or because he failed? The bump is already voicing her opinion on the fireworks. I've got a few large kicks that coincide with the big booms outside. Speaking of her opinion- she was a very angry baby again this morning. Mark needed to get up about an hour and half earlier than usual to take our car in for its MOT. When the alarm went off he was still too asleep to care and let it honk at us for at least a minute. Baby told me ALL ABOUT IT! (and how she was not impressed) It took forever to get her to stop kicking me. Actually it took almost the length of the snooze to get her to calm down at which point it went back off and she got upset again. Mark thought it was cute. I thought it was painful. *laughs* I had to get up and bounce her around to calm her down. Poor thing. If she doesn't get used to it in the next 14 weeks we're definitely going to have to switch to something less annoying when she's born or we're going to have a very grouchy baby to contend with every morning!
Here's a few interesting pregnancy facts for week 26.
* Baby's retina completes the development of its normal layers and the eyes are fully formed this week. By the end of the week she'll be able to open and blink her eyes!
* Baby is about 1 2/3 pounds and is roughly 14 inches long head-to-heel.
* I should brace myself for a growth spurt between now and 29 weeks.
Yeah, I think it was around 30 weeks when I started saying, "He's big enough now, right? I could just give birth and he'd be fine... I could get this enormous thing out of me and he'd still be all right... right? Right?!" *laughs*
ReplyDeleteHugs to you all!
