Snow.

We successfully made it to our citizenship appointment and home again yesterday despite the fun new addition of Snow! Baby remained in place the entire time, seemed to worry the lady filling in our paperwork though. It's amazing how nervous people get when they think you could have a baby at any minute. They watch too much tv - babies take hours to be born, it's not like she's just going to pop out and say hi! :)

However, the weather continues to conspire against us. Around 3:30 this afternoon it started snowing again. Light fluffy stuff. I wasn't that worried. Last time snow hit the country we got very little out our way. I was wrong. It's now 11pm, the flurries are still coming, there's a car crashed into a fence at the bottom of the hill, and about four inches of snow laying outside.

To make matters worse, about half an hour ago a gas man knocked on our door to tell us that they'd be shutting off the gas to most of our neighborhood. Apparently there's water in the gas line. (How does water get into the gas line?) All I know is that it's 31°F and we have to go another night without heating or hot water. (At least our shower is electric so I can have a hot shower before bed.)

I'm not sure why things keep breaking... Update on broken things: Mark connected a new hose to the dishwasher and as soon as the hot water works again we'll be able to use that.

Let's just hope baby decides to stay put for a little while longer because there's definitely no way we're getting out of this street tonight!
